Due to our follow-up results we demonstrate that the external patello-tibial fixation with a special fixateur for protection of the reconstructed distal extensor mechanism alows a functional unlimited rehabilitation This study demonstrates the operative treatment and follow-up results for avulsion injuries of the ligamentum patella and fractures of the distal patella pole.

Es soll anhand der Nachuntersuchungsergebnisse aufgezeigt werden, daß durch eine externe patello-tibiale Transfixation mit einem speziellen Fixateur zum Schutz der Rekonstruktion eine dynamische und frühfunktionelle Nachbehandlung ohne Limitierung des Bewegungsausmaßes möglich ist. Im Rahmen der vorliegenden Studie wird das Versorgungskonzept und die Ergebnisse für Abriß- bzw. Trümmerfrakturen am distalen Patellapol unter der protektiven Anwendung der externen patello-tibialen Transfixation vorgestellt.
